The Machine of Dreams (sculpture)

A steampunk sculpture made from found objects. The objects were collected over several years (from 2010) in different countries – the UK, Lithuania, Croatia. Some of the objects are almost 100 years old, others are either still of respectful age (20-50 years old) or carefully chosen modern curiosities. All wooden parts were properly dried and carefully conserved. The construction is reasonably robust – screws were used for heavier items, and different types of professional glues to strengthen everything what’s possible.

One-of-a-kind lithograph inspired by Rembrandt’s “Adam and Eve” was printed by me during a workshop in Rembrandt’s house-museum in Amsterdam, 2014.

This unique sculpture can not be physically replicated as it would be impossible to collect all the items once more.
