Wii Fatality: 25-year-old man dies while playing Wii Fit

Tim Eves was ‘jogging’ on the spot using the games console at home when he slumped to the floor.

His girlfriend Emma Tuck and friend Lewis Hickin, both 25, called an ambulance and tried to revive Mr Eves, but he was declared dead on arrival to hospital, despite the efforts of paramedics.

Mr Eves, who was a scout leader who enjoyed fishing and playing drums in a rock and roll band, had been fit and well.

A post-mortem has been held but the cause of death is yet to be determined.

OXM UK writes: “Break One Out was the first ever ‘sex-rated’ Xbox Live Community game on Marketplace and could well be the last, judging by the speed with which Microsoft removed it. 

Fortunately, in the name of ‘research’, a few people in our office managed to snag a copy of Break One Out before Microsoft moved in to clear up the evidence…”

Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack #1

Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack #1 will bring 4 new maps on PC, Playstation 3 & Xbox 360 in March. One of these will be Nazi Zombie co-op. Maps:
Nightlife- a multiplayer map in war-ravaged Berlin.
Knee Deep- here you’ll be attacking fortified Japanese positions in jungles.
Station- a bombed-out underground subway station.
Verrückt- or Zombie Asylum- expands the famous zombie co-op mode with more weapons, new perks, electroshock weapons and even more of… undead!

Dead Rising 2 Confirmed on PS3, Xbox 360 & PC

Dead Rising 2 Early ScreenshotCapcom confirmed that Dead Rising 2 will be coming on PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.  Other interesting news is that members from the orginal game’s team  are also involved in the development of Dead Rising 2. Release date is unclear, but we know that the sequel will follow event after the first Dead Rising game.

NY Comic Con 09: Splatterhouse Report

Namco Bandai is remaking the classical game Splatterhouse- and it already looks kickass. Though lots of details are still unclear, but here’re some facts:
- Splatterhouse will be released on Playstation 3 & Xbox 360 later this year (release window: a third quater of 2009).  A demo is planned for the both consoles too.
-Rating: Mature only. Namco is going to put as much gore and violence into the game as possible
-The confirmed weapons: chainsaw, shotgun and meat clever
-Music: Mastodon. Rick is even wearing a Mastodon t-shirt in the beginning

IGN: Prototype Demo at NY Comic Con 2009

IGN brings a sweet preview of Prototype from New York Comic Con 2009.  It seems that the guy was really impressed with the demo:
