    Duke Nukem Forever [Never]

7th May 2009 Take-Two's Alan Lewis made the official statement that Take-Two will no longer fund development of the game but retains rights to the title.

So after 12 years of development 3D Realms had closed and Duke Nukem Forever has been canned. Interesting fact though, that official site of 3D Realms has been dumped immediately too.

There has been no official response from 3D Realms. However the company's webmaster Joe Siegler posted in their (now closed) forums a note:

"It's not a marketing thing. It's true. I have nothing further to say at this time."
