    Plants vs. Zombies (PC)

    Plants vs. Zombies

It looks like the swine flu has had a strange effect upon zombies as suddenly some of them have become slightly vegetarian. So instead of Kalashnikov rifles you'd better arm yourself with seeds and plant your tidy lawn with sunflowers, potato-mines and magic mushrooms. But don't get mislead by the cheerful tone and art style of the game Plants vs. Zombies as this megabyte-light title from PopCap Games features unexpected depth of strategy, phenomenal addictiveness and some seriously paced action in the later levels.

Speaking of which, the degree of PVZ addictiveness is simply striking as it manages to hook even the experienced gamers from the very first minutes. The game's most powerful 'magic' is the brilliantly designed & balanced gameplay that gives absolutely painless start and later it seamlessly drives the player into a real mayhem of action, strategy and, well, gardening. In this meaning Plants vs. Zombies is easily comparable with best of the best- easy to pick up, impossible to put down (think of World of Warcraft). As you progress the game quickly introduces new zombies, plants, obstacles, mechanics and soon Plants vs. Zombies become quite a survival experience.
